We wanted to make a wooden light up Christmas tree(s) for a yule holiday display we are working on.
We purchased some cheap thing particle board and hand drew a cute tree design.
Next we cut them all out (4 in all for this one).
After that we marked all the spots for the lights. This kind of didn’t work out because the lights had shorter lengths between each light then we had anticipated, so instead of a 50 light tree, we ended up putting in 100 lights.
We attached some cut 2×4 pieces to the bottom in the shape of a T to make a stand for each tree.
We drilled each hole for the lights, then painted the trees green.
Next insert the lights and staple the cords on the back.
