Canning applesauce! It’s easy!
Have someone peel the apples
Boil cut up apples until soft, mash them, add a little sugar, can them! Then have a little helper clean up!
Well we wanted to make some delicious brownies, but we also have been wanting something with peppermint. So why not mix the two together and make a great Peppermint Pecan Dark Chocolate Brownie Cake! We had an initial setback in that we didn’t have any semi-sweet chocolate chips, so we decided to use Hershey’s Dark Chocolate kisses.
First set the oven to 350.
Next grease a 9×13 cake pan.
Peel your kisses so they are ready to go.
In your mixing bowl mix
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups of sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup of flour
1 cup of chopped pecans
In a microwave safe bowl or in your pan
Bag of Hershey Kisses
1 Cup of Butter (unsalted)
Heat slowly until all melted
Slowly combine with dry bowl, incorporating the chocolate and butter in.
Pour into your pan, bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Now lets make the topping.
Break up a package of candy canes.
1 package of cream cheese
1 cup of butter
Soften these in microwave
Put in a mixing bowl and add the peppermint candy canes.
Mix slowly combining with a whole bag of confectioners sugar.
This will give you a delicious pink frosting.
Frost the brownies and eat!
Very rich and very delicious.
